Position: Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)

Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) – Exploration Kids Therapy

Exploration Kids Therapy has partnered with Swann Clinic for Behavioral Health to provide services across the western slope of Colorado. The clinic specializes in early intensive behavioral intervention and serves children in several Colorado locations.

Role Summary

Provide evidence‑based occupational therapy services to children with neurodivergent conditions. Conduct direct therapy in‑clinic and via telehealth, create individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality occupational therapy services in‑clinic and telehealth.
  • Work with neurodivergent clients, including those with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and sensory processing challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on sensory regulation, fine and gross motor skills, self‑care, and self‑regulation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of therapists to integrate care.
  • Engage with families to support skill development outside therapy sessions.
Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • NBCOT Certification and Colorado state licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with neurodivergent clients (ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, etc.). New graduates with a strong passion for neurodiversity‑affirming care are encouraged.
  • Knowledge of sensory processing, self‑regulation, and fine/gross motor development.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for neurodiversity‑affirming care and child‑led interventions.
