General Labor; Nights

Blue Scope Recycling is a full‑service ferrous scrap metal recycler with processing facilities in Waterloo, IN;
Delta, OH; and Mansfield, OH. We acquire scrap from industrial generators, wholesale suppliers, and the general public, focusing on delivering the highest level of service.

Under direct supervision, the General Laborer assists in the production process by loading and unloading material from machines, conveyors, and mobile equipment; supplying or holding materials or tools; placing material in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping; and stacking and banding material or products. This position can use heavy equipment, such as a skid steer, forklift, front loader and/or a crane.

• Assists by loading and unloading material from machines, conveyors, etc. using heavy equipment.
• Assists in the placement of products on equipment or work surfaces, supplying or holding materials or tools.
• Wraps, stacks, and bands material or products; builds or assembles crates.
• Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Performs housekeeping, 5‑S, and other duties as assigned.
• Performs physical duties associated with the operation of equipment.
• Follows direction of the Area Supervisor regarding daily production and activities.
• Performs daily preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
• Always follows dress code and compliance of proper PPE.
• Works independently in the absence of direct supervision.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to supervise other employees appropriately.
• Ability to work and interact with associates, customers, vendors, and the public.
• Problem‑solving skills.
• Reading and writing skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Quantitative scope: no budget responsibility; no direct/indirect reports.
• Work authorization: no sponsorship available.

• 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment.
