Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Medical-Surgical nursing to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an RN in the Med Surg unit, you will provide direct patient care, monitor and manage patients' conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care. Your expertise and compassionate nature will contribute to improving the overall patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in the Med Surg unit
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and manage patients, observing for changes in condition and reporting them promptly
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with medical standards
- Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure safety and infection control measures are upheld
- Act with empathy and professionalism in routine and critical situations, adapting to patients' diverse needs
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [State]
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
- CPR/BLS certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous
- Strong clinical skills, including proficient use of medical equipment and technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Superior organizational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
