Underground Coal Miner / Fireboss

Somerset, CO

$28.00- $38.00 per hour (DOE)

JENNMAR Services is hiring experienced Underground Coal Miners / Firebosses for projects in the Somerset, CO area. We welcome qualified candidates willing to relocate for long-term, stable employment.

Position prerequisites:

• Colorado Foreman or Assistant Foreman Certification
• Current annual refresher training
• Previous Fireboss experience
• Valid driver's license

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-shift and on-shift underground examinations
• Inspect belt lines and identify hazardous conditions (roof, dust, gas, equipment)
• Monitor and properly record gas readings
• Help maintain safe and compliant underground operations
• Shoveling and maintaining belt lines.
