Asa Fiber Optic Technician /Splicer,you'llinstall,splice,test,troubleshoot,andmaintainfiberopticinfrastructureatprojectsitesthroughoutthe

United

States.

Thisisatravel-basedrolethatrequiresflexibilityandawillingnesstoworkawayfromhomeforextendedperiodsasprojectschedulesdemand.

Dependingontheassignment,travelmayincludecompany-paid lodging,perdiem,overtime opportunities,andcommercialairtravel.

Projectlocationsandschedulesvarybasedoncustomerandbusinessneeds.

• Install,splice,terminate,test,andrepairfiberopticcableandrelatedequipment.
• Interpretconstructionplans,splice diagrams,utility maps,andtechnicaldrawings.
• Assistwiththeconstructionandmaintenanceoftelecommunicationsinfrastructure.
• Diagnoseserviceissuesandperformtroubleshootingtorestorenetworkperformance.
• Traveltoassignedjobsitesthroughouttheregionandacrossthe United States .
• Participateinanon-callrotationtoassistwithemergencyoutagesandrestorationefforts.
• Completedailyreports,testing documentation,andprojectrecordsaccurately.
• Maintaincompanyvehicles,tools,andequipmentinsafeoperatingcondition.
• Followallcompanysafetypolicies,customer requirements,andapplicableindustrystandards.

• ValidU.S.driver'slicensewithanacceptabledrivingrecord.
• Abilityandwillingnesstotravelextensively,includingoccasionalairtravel.
• Abilitytoliftandcarryupto
  70pounds.
• Comfortableworkingoutdoorsinvaryingweatherandphysicallydemandingenvironments.
• Strongworkethicwiththeabilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam.
• Basicproficiencywithsmartphones,tablets,andcomputerapplications.
• Flexibilitytoworkdays,evenings,weekends,overtime,andemergencyresponseassignmentswhenneeded.
• Abilitytodistinguishcolorsandaccuratelyreadtechnicaldocumentation.
• Strongattentiontodetailandproblem-solving abilities.
• Abilitytosuccessfullycompleteapre-employmentbackgroundcheckanddrugscreening.
