Wearelookingforbothexperiencedfiberopticprofessionalsandmotivatedentry-levelcandidatesinterestedinbuildingacareerintelecommunications.
Experienceinfiberoptics,telecommunications,broadband,utilities,construction,low-voltagework,undergroundconstruction,oroutdoorfieldworkispreferredbutnotrequiredforallpositions.
Thisisatravel-basedfieldpositionrequiringregulartraveltoprojectlocations.
Candidatesmustbecomfortableworkingoutdoors,performingphysicallydemandingwork,andstayingawayfromhomeduringprojectassignments.
- Install,splice,terminate,test,troubleshoot,maintain,andrepairfiberopticcableandtelecommunicationsnetworks
- Performorassistwithfiberopticsplicing,fusionsplicing,fibertesting,troubleshooting,and restoration
- Usefiberoptictestingequipmentandtoolsasassigned,includingOTDRs,powermeters,fusionsplicers,andrelatedequipment
- Assistwithfiberconstruction,cableinstallation,networkbuilds,maintenance,andservicerestoration
- Readandinterpretfibermaps,construction drawings,schematics,prints,andprojectplans
- Identifyfiberroutes,connections,splicelocations,andnetworkcomponents
- Completerequiredsplicedocumentation,testresults,reports,andprojectupdates
- Traveltotelecommunicationsandfiberconstructionprojectsitesthroughouttheregionandcountry
- Participateinanon-callrotationforemergencyoutagesandfiberrestoration
- Safelyoperateandmaintaincompanyvehicles,tools,and equipment
- Workoutdoorsinvaryingterrain,temperatures,andweatherconditions
- Followcompanysafetypolicies,customer requirements,project specifications,andapplicableindustrystandards
- ValidU.S.driver'slicensewithanacceptablemotorvehiclerecord
- Willingandabletotravelextensivelyforwork,includingovernightandregularairtravel
- Abilitytoliftandcarryupto

Nofiberopticexperience?
Candidateswithstrongconstruction,utility,mechanical,technical,oroutdoorworkexperienceareencouragedtoapply.
Trainingopportunitiesmaybeavailableforindividualswhodemonstratereliability,mechanical aptitude,andawillingnesstolearn.
