Make a significant impact supporting K-12 students as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist in a dynamic school environment near Deltona, FL. This on-site, contract-based opportunity spans the academic year from August 10, 2026, through May 25, 2027, providing services across the Oviedo and Sanford areas. Both experienced travel professionals and local candidates are encouraged to apply, as you will play a vital role delivering compensatory services and direct therapy, with occasional evaluations as needed.

Qualifications:
  • National Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Licensure required
  • Vision certification necessary for this position
  • Experience working with K-12 students, ideally within school settings
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an adaptable approach to meet varying student needs
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between assigned schools as needed
  • Willingness to complete all credentialing steps, including physical copies of required licenses, I-9 (sections 1 &
    2), Form 1403 Fingerprinting, and related documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct therapy and compensatory orientation and mobility services to students across multiple schools (caseload to be assigned)
  • Conduct evaluations as needed and collaborate with other educational specialists
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized mobility plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
  • Consult and communicate effectively with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
