Job Description

POSITION GOAL

To assist with students during lunch periods and cleaning eating areas

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete annual required training.

Promote appropriate behavior among students.

Deal in a positive and effective manner with disruption that may occur.

Assist students with utensils and supplies.

Assist students in learning to keep their area clean.

Work as a member of a team without close supervision.

Use effective positive interpersonal communication skills, maintaining composure under stress.

Assist in cleaning dining room tables.

Assist in emptying dining room trash.

Assist with spills and mopping floors, as necessary.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal.

Required Qualifications /Certifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, preferred, or demonstrate ability to read and write at a functional level by successful completion of Volusia County Schools Level 1 skills assessment

REQUIRED SKILLS

Ability to work harmoniously with students and adults and to provide friendly service
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to work efficiently and effectively at a fast pace
Ability to follow instructions
Skill in interpersonal communication for cordial interaction with students and adults
Intermediate language skills
Intermediate reasoning skills
