job summary:
this position reports directly to the building principal and operates in close collaboration with the learning services team to ensure consistent alignment with district instructional priorities. This position supports and enhances teacher effectiveness by providing instructional coaching, facilitating professional development, and promoting the use of data-driven strategies to improve student achievement and engagement across all grade levels. The role aligns school-level implementation with district instructional priorities to ensure cohesive and effective teaching and learning practices.
qualifications- new mexico level ii or iii teacher license.
- minimum of five years effective teaching experience.
- experience working with adult learners.

- personal discipline and willingness to commit significant time, effort, and focus to the wide array of duties of the position both large and small.

- teacher collaboration & support: work closely with teachers, under the direction of the principal and executive director of learning services, to implement research-based instructional strategies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- professional development: design and deliver targeted professional learning opportunities that align with district and school goals, in collaboration with the principal and executive director of learning services.
- data-driven decision making: assist teachers in analyzing student performance data to inform instructional practices and interventions, ensuring alignment with school priorities.
- classroom modeling & observation: demonstrate effective teaching strategies through modeling, co‑teaching, and providing constructive feedback, as guided by the principal and executive director of learning services.
- curriculum alignment: support teachers in aligning instructional practices with state standards, district adopted curriculum, and best practices in education, under the principal’s leadership and executive director of learning services.
- student-centered learning: promote student engagement, differentiation, and inclusive teaching methods to support diverse learning needs, in accordance with school improvement goals and district initiatives.
instructional support & coaching
- collaborate with teachers to enhance instructional practices through coaching cycles, co‑teaching, and classroom observations.
- model evidence-based teaching strategies to improve student learning and engagement.
- provide individualized coaching and feedback to teachers to support professional growth.
professional development & training
- attend all district-provided professional development and training sessions designed to support instructional coaches and ensure alignment with district instructional goals and initiatives.
- attend all curriculum adoption and assessment trainings as assigned by learning services team.
- design and facilitate professional learning sessions based on school and district priorities.
- support teachers in implementing new instructional strategies, technology integration, and curriculum changes.
- assist teacher in development and implementation of professional development plans.
data-driven instruction & assessment
- analyze student achievement data to identify trends and inform instructional decisions.
- assist teachers in using formative and summative assessments to guide instruction.
- support the implementation of data-driven intervention strategies for student success.
