Job Description Summary
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist to join a fast-paced outpatient imaging team. In this role, you will perform high-quality MRI scans, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate with physicians to deliver accurate diagnostic results. Key Responsibilities- Review physician orders and patient medical history prior to imaging procedures
- Educate patients about MRI procedures, safety protocols, and expectations
- Position patients correctly and operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer contrast media when required, following scope of practice
- Monitor patient condition during scans and respond to any changes immediately
- Evaluate image quality and repeat or adjust scans when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation and transmit imaging results appropriately
- Ensure adherence to MRI safety standards and radiation protection guidelines
- ARRT (MRI) certification or ARMRIT certification required
- Active or eligible New Mexico state MRI Technologist license
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, anatomy, and imaging protocols
- Ability to work independently in an outpatient imaging environment
- Prior MRI experience in hospital or outpatient setting
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to handle high-volume imaging workflow
- Salary Range: $51,376 – $66,352 annually
- $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid in two installments after 90 days and 12 months)
