qualifications

applicant must be highly qualified which requires one of the following and a complete application on file to be eligible for the position:

  • associate degree (preferred)
  • 48 college credit hours
job summary

monitor all aspects of the special education evaluation process to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. The evaluation clerk will oversee timelines, support communication between staff and families, and ensure evaluations are completed accurately, efficiently, and within required timelines.

essential duties and responsibilities
  • receive and process all parent requests for evaluations in compliance with established timelines
  • track all evaluation timelines using district tracking systems
  • maintain records and notify staff regarding required 60-day evaluation timelines
  • track all evaluation referrals and related processes
  • update each site administrator weekly on the status of evaluations for their students
  • review completed evaluations for completeness and inclusion of required components using diagnostic checklists
  • provide copies of completed evaluations to parents at least two days prior to scheduled eligibility determination team (edt) meetings
  • upload and file parent consent and related documentation on a daily basis
  • notify ancillary staff and diagnosticians of evaluations and timelines as appropriateassist school staff, ancillary providers, and administrators with evaluation-related documentation and compliance requirements
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to evaluations and timelines
  • support district evaluation and eligibility documentation processes
  • maintain confidentiality of all student and district information
  • perform other duties as assigned
