Position Overview
Luna Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our care team. In this role, you will provide direct, hands‑on care to residents while supporting their daily living needs and promoting dignity, comfort, and overall well‑being. As a CNA, you will work under the direction of licensed nursing staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centered care in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, toileting, and ambulation
- Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations, and report abnormalities to nursing staff
- Observe resident behavior, mood, and physical condition, reporting any changes promptly to the supervising nurse
- Safely transfer residents between beds, wheelchairs, and other surfaces using proper lifting and transfer techniques
- Maintain resident hygiene, including oral care, incontinence care, and changing bed linens as needed
- Assist with meal service and provide support with feeding when required
- Accurately document all care provided in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding resident needs, concerns, and changes in condition
- Follow safety protocols to prevent falls, injuries, and other risks to residents
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of New Mexico, in good standing with no findings on the Nurse Aide Registry
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within a healthcare environment
