Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | On-Call Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct post-anesthesia care to patients in the PACU, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical staff, and other healthcare personnel to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of care
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in New Mexico or compact state eligibility
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PACU or relevant perioperative experience (orthopedics, ophthalmology, gynecology, or related surgical specialties)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Local candidates will not be considered for this travel assignment
- Experience working across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedics, ophthalmology, and gynecology
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced surgical or post-anesthesia care environment
- Opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience in a PACU setting as part of a 13-week travel assignment with a defined schedule
- Work alongside a collaborative surgical team in a structured, Monday through Friday daytime schedule
