Food Safety​/QA Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees the planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of occupational health, safety, and environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees and products.
• Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, GMP, Preventive Controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct internal audits, inspections, and prepare for third‑party regulatory audits (OSHA, ASI, NMED, etc.).
• Perform receiving inspections, in‑process product checks, and final quality verification.
• Maintain documentation and reports on quality systems, audits, and compliance activities.
• Lead product recalls and investigate customer concerns, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Train employees on food safety rules, sanitation, and compliance standards.
• Stay current on food safety regulations and industry best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 25 years of food/beverage manufacturing or production experience in quality or food safety.
• HACCP certification and OSHA 10/30 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, and quality assurance procedures.
• Ability to produce accurate reports and work safely in a production environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely perform essential job functions.
• Clear communication skills for training and reporting.
