Family Nurse Practitioner – Selma, Alabama
Main Street Family Care is growing and looking for a fast, fun, and friendly Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team full time. You will provide patient‑focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting. The ideal applicant will lead a small team in a high‑volume, fast‑paced urgent care environment.
Responsibilities- Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
- Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
- Suturing and splinting
- General orthopedic evaluation and management
- Review of x‑rays (with radiologist over‑read)
- General dermatology and eye problems
- General EKG interpretation
- Emergency management skills
- General gynecology expertise
- Treating children of all ages
- Occupational medicine and telemedicine services
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend. Sample schedule:
Week 1 – Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON). Week 2 – Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF).
- Family Nurse Practitioner board certification required
- MSN or higher education required (new graduates welcome)
- DOT certified or willing to obtain DOT certification (cost covered)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite preferred
