Position Title: Licensed Journeyman Electrician - Traveling Position
Location: Various Job Sites - Alabama

Pay Range: $20 - $36 per hour (based on experience, certification, and job scope)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Assignments
Position Overview: United Trades of America is actively hiring licensed Journeyman Electricians for a variety of commercial and industrial projects across the state of Alabama
. These are travel-based opportunities and candidates must hold a valid Alabama electrical license to be considered.
This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and safety awareness
. Projects will include new construction, plant expansions, remodels, and maintenance within commercial facilities and industrial job sites. Candidates must be comfortable working in high-paced environments under minimal supervision, interpreting electrical drawings and schematics, and adhering to job-specific codes and safety standards.
- Must hold a current and valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of Alabama
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must have a minimum of 4-5 years of verifiable commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification required
- NCCER Certification preferred
- Must have experience with the installation of conduit (EMT, Rigid), cable trays, panel terminations, switch gear, transformers, and lighting systems
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Must have own hand tools and PPE suitable for electrical work
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments
- Bend, cut, and thread conduit accurately and safely
- Pull and terminate wire and cable to code
- Work independently or with a team to complete electrical installations on schedule
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), site-specific protocols, and OSHA regulations
- Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures at all times
