Senior Content Writer for Humanitarian Assistance

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Content Writer to join our global humanitarian assistance team. If you have excellent writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, leadership ability and a passion for refugees and humanitarian assistance work, we encourage you to apply. You will supervise the crafting of informative, accurate, reliable and life-saving content.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in any other language is a plus.
• Excellent storytelling abilities and experience in content creation.
• Passion for social impact.
• Creative and ability to think outside the box.
• Experience in editing and proofreading for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency.
• Experience working for a humanitarian, charitable, or not-for-profit organization is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and ability to optimize content for search engines.
• Experience in using analytics tools to measure content performance and make data-driven improvements.
• Previous experience in managing editorial content and teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in Journalism, Communications, or Content Creation.
• Creativity and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
• The capacity to rapidly make editorial choices during urgent circumstances.

• Work closely with the Director of Humanitarian Infrastructure and the Product team.
• Lead, supervise and develop a team of content writers for assigned geographic region(s).
• Oversee the content creation process and delegate roles and responsibilities within the content writing team.
• Ensure collaboration between UX designers team and content writers.
• Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and style guidelines.

• Duration: Initially one-year to start, renewable towards permanence after first year

• Location: Bucharest (relocation to The Hague within one year)
