Senior Underwriter Trade Credit - Financial Institutions
Based in Den Haag, you will be responsible for business development and underwriting in trade credit insurance, with a clear focus on banks and financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities- Build and manage strategic partnerships with top-tier banks, globally active financial institutions, and specialized factoring and leasing companies, positioning Zurich as the risk transfer partner of choice.
- Structure complex credit and insurance solutions for the risk transfer of trade receivables and financing transactions – from traditional receivables finance programs and supply chain finance platforms to export letters of credit structures and leasing portfolios.
- Act as the key point of contact for banking partners, managing the full offer and contract process end-to-end – from initial outreach and structured pipeline management through to closing and ongoing partnership development.
- Represent the Credit Lines unit externally in meetings with banks and brokers, at conferences, and at industry events across trade finance, receivables finance, and supply chain finance, while proactively bringing market and product insights into the organization.
- A degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable qualification.
- 6-10 years of experience in corporate business with strong exposure to trade finance, receivables finance, supply chain finance, export letters of credit, and leasing – for example at a bank, a trade credit insurer, or a specialized broker.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex matters clearly and appropriately to different audiences.
- Proven customer focus, enthusiasm for business development, team spirit, and a structured, solution-oriented way of working, also in an international environment.
- Excellent Dutch and English language skills;
German would be a plus.
