As Account Manager Civil Aviation, you are the commercial face of Robin Radar for clients worldwide. This role is an equal mix of farming; growing and deepening existing accounts and hunting; actively identifying and closing new business.
You manage long-term account plans, keep the sales funnel moving, and stay close to day-to-day customer operations, all while pursuing new opportunities across the global civil aviation market. You report to the Head of the respective segment.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with worldwide clients, turning them into loyal Robin Radar ambassadors.
- Listen to existing accounts' needs and anticipate internally and externally on all required actions.
- Follow up on enquiries for existing customers and future clients with support from the tender, technical sales, and radar specialist teams.
- Translate customer wishes into realistic and compelling solutions; negotiate and close.
- Generate sales by growing current business and closing new and renewal contracts.
- Establish account plans and execute them.
- Support pipeline growth and drive opportunities through in-person and virtual meetings.
- Manage new leads and tenders in close alignment with your direct supervisor.
- Reach and exceed targets.
- Liaise internally with all relevant departments to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
- Represent Robin Radar at exhibitions and conferences, actively promoting the brand in the civil aviation segment.
- University degree (BA, MSc, or MBA).
- 10+ years of experience in complex, international or multicultural sales environments.
- Proven track record with long-cycle, solution-based selling, complex tenders, and pipeline management.
- Experience in the aviation segment is a strong asset.
- Full professional fluency in English.
- Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills — you listen first, then act with conviction.
- A team player who can also work independently; assertive and not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
- Available to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility to travel internationally.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-moving scale-up where things change quickly and ownership is expected.
- Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and background check required.
