Position: Full-time CNA / DCW (DS)

Who we are:

Pedia Trust provides skilled nursing care to medically fragile children who cannot attend a typical daycare. Our healthcare professionals create personalized, developmentally stimulating environments where children are able to interact and thrive. We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, educational curriculum, and of course lots of fun. Our Louisiana clinics include Denham Springs, Lake Charles, Lafayette and coming soon Baton Rouge.

Our Mississippi clinics include Columbus and Hattiesburg.

Who we are looking for:

Part‑time CNA / DCW

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) also referred to as a Direct Care Worker (DCW) will assist with daily activities, supporting the medical needs of children, and ensure their comfort and safety while promoting their independence to the best of their ability. Our CNA/DCW workers also assist in filling in as a bus attendant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with personal hygiene care, including diaper changes, dressing, and cleaning.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning using wheelchairs or mobility aids.
  • Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as directed.
  • Assist with feeding, ensuring children are able to eat and drink safely and comfortably.
  • Follow the care plan based on each child’s specific condition.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for the children.
  • Document and report any changes in the child's condition to the healthcare team.
  • Provide recreational support and engage in therapeutic activities as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children, preferably those with disabilities, is a plus.
  • Willingness to train in other areas of the clinic to maximize efficiency.
  • Ability to lift, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and care plans of children with disabilities.
  • Compassionate and patient, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and assist children with mobility and daily activities.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification required.
  • Pediatric Healthcare: 2 years (Required)

Job Type: Full‑time 3 days per week (8 hour shift)
