HVAC Apprentice

FMM is seeking a motivated professional to fulfill our HVAC Apprentice position. FMM is a maintenance and construction company servicing residential and commercial clients nationwide.

Responsible for assisting our service technicians in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems for commercial and residential properties.

• Assisting with preventive maintenance, necessary maintenance and minor repairs to HVAC systems on commercial and residential properties; must have working knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure proper operations.
• Conduct periodic general preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including lubrications, adjustments, cleaning, replacement of consumable parts, and periodic testing of equipment.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and records; familiarity with preventative maintenance and work order software systems.
• Perform all assigned work to ensure safety of building occupants and continuous operation.
• Assist with installation of new HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties, ensuring proper operation and function.
• Install and perform preventative and repair maintenance on generators.

• Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skills
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment (AHUs, VAVs, etc.)
• HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation skills
• Ability to utilize iPad for work order distribution, Teams meeting, email, etc.
• Strong work ethic and pride in work quality

• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge and experiences

• High School Diploma
• 0–2 years of previous experience
• Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions using FMM's core values of Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Safety, and Versatility
• Proficient in computer, text, and email skills
• May perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to lift 20–50 pounds
• Ability to regularly climb stairs and ladders
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in hot or cold temperatures
• Ability to pass a Fit for Duty Screening

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
