We are seeking a motivated professional to fill our HVAC Maintenance Technician position. We are a maintenance and construction company servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide. Ideal candidate must have at least 5 years' experience, reliable transportation, and be able to pass a drug screen. Company truck available to employee if all driving requirements are met. Benefits, PTO and paid holidays!
Tools are not required but are a huge plus!
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems for commercial and residential properties. Technician will be assigned to multiple locations throughout the Greater Baton Rouge Area and must be available for after hour emergency calls.
EssentialJob Duties:
Responsible for all preventive maintenance, necessary maintenance and minor repairs to the HVAC systems on commercial and residential properties. Must have working knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure proper operations.
Conduct periodic general preventative maintenance on HVAC systems. This includes normal lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, replacement of consumable parts (filters, indicator lights, etc) and periodic testing of equipment.
Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and records. Familiarity with preventative maintenance and work order software systems.
Perform all assigned work so as to ensure the safety of the building occupants and insure continuous operation.
Install new HVAC systems in both residential and commercial properties, ensure proper operation and function.
Able to install and perform preventative and repair maintenance on generators.
RequiredSkills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skills
Knowledge of all commercial HVAC equipment (AHUs, VAVs, etc.)
HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation skills
Ability to utilize iPhone for work order distribution, teams meeting, email, etc.
Strong work ethic and pride in work quality
Ability to be a team player
Willingness to work overtime as and when needed
Willingness to travel on short notice, sometimes for extended duration (typically 1-3 weeks)
Willingness to learn and share their knowledge and experiences
Education and Experience:High School Diploma
HVAC Certification
EPA Section 608
Certifications:
Type 1, 2 and 3 (Type 4 is not required but is desired)
Five (5) years previous experience
Proficient in computer, text, and email skills
May perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:Ability to lift 20-50 pounds
Ability to regularly climb stairs and ladders
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in hot or cold temperatures
Ability to pass a Fit for Duty Screening
