TFG is seeking motivated individuals to join our TFG Tech Track Internship Program , a paid, hands‑on internship designed to develop the next generation of commercial food service equipment technicians.

Whether you're currently in a technical program, recently graduated, or simply interested in learning a skilled trade, The TFG Tech Track provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced Service Technicians while gaining valuable real‑world experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment.

As a Tech Track Intern, you'll receive hands‑on training in our shop and in the field, developing the technical and professional skills needed to begin a long‑term career with TFG. Successful interns may have the opportunity to transition into a full‑time Service Technician role upon completion of the program.

As a Tech Track Intern, you'll assist experienced technicians while building knowledge and experience in:

• Preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and gas equipment issues
• Equipment installation and repairs
• Safe use of hand and power tools
• Reading service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Customer service and professional communication
• Proper documentation of repairs and service activities
• Warehouse operations and equipment preparation
• Safety procedures and industry best practices

• Paid internship ($18–20/hour)
• Flexible 2–4 day weekly schedule
• Hands‑on training with experienced Service Technicians
• Shop and field experience
• Mentorship from senior technicians

We're looking for individuals who are:

• No prior commercial kitchen equipment experience is required—we’ll teach you.

Required

• Valid driver's license
• Must be at least 21 years of age to operate company vehicles
• Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record review
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory with a mentor technician

Preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enrollment in or completion of a technical, HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or trade program
• Mechanical aptitude or previous hands‑on experience
• Experience using hand and power tools

This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

• Lift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 60 pounds
• Push or maneuver equipment using dollies and carts
• Climb ladders while carrying tools
• Kneel, crouch, bend, and work from the floor for extended periods
• Drive between customer locations throughout the assigned territory
• Safely operate hand and power tools
• Work in commercial kitchens, warehouses, and outdoor environments
