boxoffice associate
role: maintain fine arts box office and assist with ticketing and sales for fine arts events. Reports to grayson college theatre technical director.
part time, maximum 19 hours per week ($18/hour)
essential functions & responsibilities- maintains weekday hours of 1:00pm-5:00pm in the grayson college fine arts box office, and/or evening/event hours as assigned. Required to work long hours on event days with flex scheduling to balance hours.
- assists customers at box office windows with ticket sales, will call, etc. Assists with on-line ticket sales and responsible for ticket inventory and stocking.
- serves as box office receptionist; assumes supervisory role on events nights with other part time, student and volunteer box office workers. Prepares box office area for event night activities and post event wrap-up, including but not limited to printing will call, preparing seller books, balancing sales books for each production, hanging signage, writing out lost ticket vouchers.
- balances all daily transactions, rec sheets, shales reports, and daily deposits.
- maintains and oversees grayson college art gallery space as needed during

performance measurements- experience: one (1) year of experience in customer service and cash-handling. Knowledge and understanding of online ticketing services.
- education: two (2) year college degree required.
- interpersonal skills: excellent customer service skills. Ability to handle and keep information confidential. Excellent communication (speaking and listening) skills.
- other skills: expected to comply with all grayson college covid 19 protocols
- physical requirements: physical activities include sitting, walking and standing for prolonged periods of time, as well as bending, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, balancing and handling of materials. Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 20lbs. This position submission of three professional references. This position is considered a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check.
