Family Advocate - Crawford

West Central Community Action is now hiring a Family Advocate

to work at our Denison, Iowa Head Start office.

The Family Advocate is responsible for providing support & resources to our children and their families. This position will lead our recruitment efforts for both the Head Start & Early Head Start programs in their assigned territory. Our Family Advocate must attend local community events and be knowledgeable of local resources and maintain a positive working relationship with their community partners.

This position is 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday. This position may require regular travel within our 10-county coverage area as needed. Company vehicle available for travel as needed.

Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Human Services or Social Work are considered ideal for this position. High School Diploma or G.E.D. are required for this position.

Ideal candidate must complete their Family Development Certification within the required deadline as mandated by the Office of Head Start.

Criminal Background Check, including fingerprinting and Health Screening required.
