The Sales Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based at Team Auto Group in Denison, IA. In this position, the Sales Consultant engages with customers, learns their needs and preferences, and recommends suitable new and pre-owned vehicles. Daily responsibilities include conducting test drives, presenting vehicle features and benefits, preparing price quotes, and guiding customers through financing and purchase options. The role involves maintaining accurate sales documentation, following up with prospective and existing customers, and collaborating with the service and finance teams to ensure a seamless experience.
The Sales Consultant is expected to uphold the dealership’s customer service standards, meet sales targets, and contribute to a welcoming, professional environment.
- Strong Sales Consulting and Consulting skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate vehicle solutions
- Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service skills focused on building trust, delivering a positive buying experience, and fostering repeat business
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and professional interpersonal interaction
- Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to meet or exceed sales objectives and work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment
- Basic proficiency with computer systems and dealership software for managing leads, documentation, and customer information
- Prior experience in automotive sales or retail sales is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn product details and sales processes is essential
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business, marketing, or related fields is a plus
- Ability to work on-site, including evenings and weekends as needed, and maintain a professional, customer-focused demeanor at all times
