Service Contract Act (SCA) Position
Hourly range: $17.20 to $18.50
Shift
Schedule:
1:00pm - 9:00pm
- Organize and direct trainees in leisure‑time recreation/non‑vocational activities and leadership programs.
- Assist in center-sponsored trips and events, including escorting and chaperoning; may drive the students on trips/events.
- Assist with Water Safety programming (videos, swimming certification and swim lessons) and CIS documentation if applicable.
- Provide instructions to trainees in various recreational clubs such as sports, poetry, drama, talent shows, etc., and other creative activities such as arts and crafts.
- Mentor students in the Recreation Aide Program to help them establish life skills.
- Associate of Arts degree or one (1) year of related experience working with youth.
- Prefer experience in a recreation/non‑vocational program.
- Must be flexible with work schedule to include weekends, holidays and/or nights.
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
