leads and coordinates curriculum and instruction for both in‑person and remote learning environments, ensuring alignment with texas ael content standards and career pathways guidelines. Includes developing specialized curriculum, coaching instructors, and guiding the overall service delivery to maximize student success. This position is grant‑funded.
essential functions & responsibilities- 30% leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional materials, ensuring alignment with texas ael content standards and career pathways guidelines. Oversee the delivery of educational services to ensure consistency and quality.
- 30% teaches adult education classes.
- 20% provides ongoing coaching and professional development to new and existing instructors. Introduce innovative teaching strategies and tools to enhance learning experiences. Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote best practices in adult education.
- 5% conducts instructor observations and evaluations to ensure instructional excellence.
- 5% develops and adapts specialized curriculum tailored to career pathway models. Guide the integration of career pathways into the overall service delivery model.
- 5% supports both face‑to‑face and remote learning environments to maximize student engagement and success.
- 5% performs other duties as assigned.
experience: minimum of three to five years of similar or related experience, with a focus on curriculum development and instructional leadership. Preferred experience teaching adult education with a student‑centered approach. Knowledge of andragogy.
educationbachelor’s degree in education, adult education, or a related field. Preferred knowledge of twc requirements and procedures for adult education and literacy program.
interpersonal skillsnormal courtesy in dealing with others is required. Work involves minimal contacts, usually within the department. Contact usually involves routine, non‑sensitive issues. External contacts are limited to incidental contacts with visitors, or no contact.
other skillsdemonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering both face‑to‑face and remote learning programs. Knowledge of texas ael content standards and career pathways.
