testing center assistant
proctors both local and national exams on a 12‑month, part‑time basis.
part‑time position of 19 hours or less per week with an hourly salary of $18.00.
responsibilities- schedules and administers standardized tests (tsi assessment, nex admissions exam, clep, texas commission on law enforcement examinations, prometric automobile service excellence examinations, act, hiset, pearson vue examinations, including ged). (55%)
- maintains test security while facilitating the needs of students, faculty, staff, and the general public. (20%)
- assists with maintaining records, collecting proctor fees, and securely storing test materials under the direction of the director of testing, tutoring and accessibility services. (10%)
- administers grayson college proctored online courses exams and make‑up exams as arranged by faculty. (10%)
- performs other duties as assigned. (5%)

complies with policies of standardized test publishers, approved grayson college accommodations arranged by faculty and the tutoring and accessibility services coordinator, and all federal and state laws and regulations relating to higher education.
qualificationsexperience: six months to two years of similar or related experience.
education: an associate’s degree is required.
interpersonal skills: contact with persons beyond immediate associates, providing information and assistance to students, visitors, or vendors with ordinary courtesy.
other skills: strong customer service skills, strong organizational skills.
physical requirements: generally sedentary; may involve walking, standing, bending, carrying light items. No special physical demands.
work environment: regular exposure to favorable conditions typical of an office.
