Student Engagement Specialist
The Student Engagement Specialist supports the implementation of student engagement activities and programs across all Grayson College campuses. This position hands-on event support, student interaction, and foundational program coordination while building skills in student life operations. The Specialist works closely with the Director of Student Life and Development to create welcoming and engaging campus experiences. Salary Range for this position is $38,865.41- $58,298.11 based on experience.

Essential functions and responsibilities include: 40% event support and student engagement, 25% student organization support, 20% communication and outreach, 10% operational support, and 5% other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance measurements include demonstrating the Viking Values of balance, clarity, gratitude, service, teamwork, and trust; contributing to high-quality engagement programming across all campuses; effectively supporting student organizations and student leaders; demonstrating strong organization, communication, and follow-through; maintaining professionalism and compliance with college policies and procedures; and complying with all federal state laws and regulations relating to higher education.
Knowledge and skills include experience in student engagement, student activities, higher education, or related programming; a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program; strong interpersonal skills; other skills such as strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, event planning experience, basic assessment and data tracking skills, proficiency with standard office and campus technology;
physical requirements of work being primarily sedentary with periods of walking, standing, lifting event materials, and moving equipment; and work environment of regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
This position requires three references. This position is considered a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check.
