SummaryDrive process control & improvements through application of knowledge in aerospace, military or automotive quality systems, while ensuring adherence to disciplined systems, robust processes, and best practices. Apply and understand AS9100, TS16949, NADCAP, ANSI, and ASTM programs and guidelines.
Responsibilities- Ensure all product meets customer and industry quality requirements
- Coordinate with engineering & operations for robust manufacturing processes
- Review and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Visually inspect parts prior to shipment
- Review routers & paperwork prior to shipment to confirm processes are completed
- Prepare certificates of conformance & certification packages
- Conduct RCAA investigations
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
- 2+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, ratios, and percentages
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Capability to define, interpret problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Effective communication with co‑workers and customers
- Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical, textual, and diagrammatic form, handling both abstract and concrete variables
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific & technical journals and legal documents
- Work under indirect supervision following established practices and clear policies for the majority of duties
- Make decisions when general instructions and established methods indicate action, but refer unusual problems to cross‑functional teams
- Knowledge of Control Plans, PFMEA, GD&T, and Design of Experiments
- Experience working near moving mechanical parts, molten aluminum, hot environments, fumes or airborne particles, and loud noise situations is preferred
- Basic Spanish speaking skills are preferred, but not required
- Prior metal casting experience is preferred, but not required
