Electrical Engineer

Overview

Electrical Engineer — Full-time. Department:
Shop/Production.

Location:

Denison, TX; also supporting operations in Abbeville, SC.

Reports to:

Department Lead. FLSA Classification:
Non-exempt (Hourly). Supervision Exercised:
None.

• Team Leadership:
  May supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Collaboration:
  
  Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, project managers, and sometimes clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Project Management:
  Manage electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
• Documentation:
  Prepare reports, documentation, and technical specifications related to electrical systems and projects.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest technological advancements, industry trends, and best practices in electrical engineering.
• Cost estimation and budgeting:
  Involvement in preparing cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Compliance and safety:
  Ensure electrical systems and components comply with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Product development:
  Develop new electrical products, components, and systems by studying customer requirements and industry trends.
• Schematic and drawing creation:
  Use CAD software to create detailed schematics, technical drawings, and specifications for electrical systems and components.
• Software and hardware integration:
  Integrate electrical components with software and other hardware systems.
• System and component design:
  Design power distribution, control systems, electronic circuits, and communication networks.
