Project Engineer, Lean Manufacturing ​/ Six Sigma

• Support plant cost-out initiatives and productivity improvements
• Solve problems, execute objectives, and support short-term and long-term business goals
• Communicate Denison operation goals, programs, and processes to associates
• Complete productivity projects involving process, tool, and part redesign
• Work with production leaders and support teams to identify and assess cost-out opportunities
• Lead the Denison team through productivity-deck brainstorming
• Deliver improvements in process capability and part quality
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve production efficiency and reduce operating costs
• Identify opportunities for and lead Kaizen events
• Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams
• Ensure on-time execution of Lean Six Sigma initiatives
• Serve as a change agent to institutionalize quality with Manufacturing Engineers and Process Technicians
• Seek, share, and implement best practices

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
• Training in statistics and data analysis required
• Up to two (2) years of previous related work experience required
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Statistical literacy and familiarity with Six Sigma methodology
• Ability to earn Six Sigma Green Belt certification required
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Demonstrated commitment to process improvement
• Experience in stamping, casting, or injection molding industries preferred
• Engineering project management experience strongly preferred
• Experience making productivity improvements in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous experience with Minitab software and leading Kaizen events strongly preferred
• Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities strongly preferred
• Change-agent credibility and influence in the organization preferred
• Ability to motivate others and achieve results preferred
• Executive-level presentation skills preferred
• CAD proficiency, including AutoCAD or Pro/E, preferred
• Ability to travel domestically 5% of the time and internationally 5% of the time

Demonstrates expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and cost reductions in manufacturing environments. Proficient in statistical analysis and project management, with a strong focus on quality and productivity enhancements.
