Anesthesia Technician

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. Provides technical and clinical support to Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists by ensuring availability and proper functioning of anesthesia equipment and supplies. The anesthesia technician will assist with the placement of invasive catheters and preparation of the patient for induction and transport under the direction of the Anesthesiologist, CRNA and/or RN.

Qualifications:

• Requires the ability to respond to call within 30 minutes.
• Reading and numerical competency.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting.
• ASATT certification within 6 months recommended.
• Able to read and write on 12th grade level.
• Basic computer skills.
