Working with Texoma Care means you will work with a care team of physicians, advanced practitioners, and staff providing compassionate and quality care. Texoma Care is proud to be affiliated with Texoma Medical Center (TMC), the Texoma region’s leader in hospital services. Texoma Medical Center is a 414‑bed acute care facility located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border.
More than 3,500 employees, 400 multi‑specialty physicians, and over 100 volunteers have helped to support the hospital in delivering quality, patient‑focused care to the Texoma region for over 50 years.
The Medical Office Specialist (MOS) is responsible for front desk coverage for the medical practice which includes registration, check‑in, collecting co‑pays, scheduling appointments, billing patients, and scanning records into EMR, reports, and correspondence. The MOS possesses medical terminology knowledge, organization and communication skills, ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions, and professional appearance, all while maintaining a calm disposition, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Reliable, tactful, honest, and discreet in maintaining confidentiality at all times. Must be able to carry out specific assignments to a successful conclusion.
Independence Physician Management, a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi‑specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics that align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 12 markets across six states and the District of Columbia.
