Medical Office Front Desk / Medical Secretary
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and professional Medical Office Front Desk Secretary to join our busy medical practice. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced healthcare environment while providing exceptional customer service to patients and supporting clinical and administrative staff.
Responsibilities- Greet patients professionally and provide excellent customer service.
- Check patients in and out, collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
- Verify insurance eligibility, referrals, and prior authorizations.
- Review patient accounts and assist with collections and payment arrangements.
- Maintain accurate patient demographics and insurance information.
- Coordinate scheduling for office visits, testing, and follow‑up appointments.
- Manage provider schedules and assist with daily office workflow.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, billers, referral coordinators, and other staff members.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
- Process medical records, referrals, and incoming correspondence.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment.
- Follow HIPAA and all practice policies regarding patient confidentiality.
- Identify workflow issues and proactively assist with office operations and process improvement.
- Minimum of 2 years of medical office front desk experience preferred.
- ECW EMR experience preferred.
- Experience working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced medical practice
. - Knowledge of medical insurance verification, authorization requirements, copay collection, and patient balances.
- Experience coordinating with billing departments and clinical staff.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and patient relations skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as a team player.
- Leadership qualities with a positive, professional attitude.
- Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.
- Must be flexible to travel to other office locations.

Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm
Full‑time option:
