Texoma Medical Center is a 414-bed acute care facility located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. The hospital has been providing quality health care to residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965, offering major specialty services such as open heart surgery, neurosurgery, and certified trauma care.
PositionSummary
Under the direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, Lead Phlebotomists, MLTs, Lead MT/MLT, Assistant Director and Director of Lab, the Lead Phlebotomist is responsible for performing routine blood‑drawing procedures, including venous and capillary specimen collection, responding to hospital codes, bedside testing per physician orders, and assisting with clerical duties and outpatient processing.

- Respond to hospital codes and bedside testing per physician orders.
- Assist in clerical duties and processing of outpatients.
- High School Diploma/GED or higher. Training and certification from the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS) phlebotomy program preferred. Previous experience preferred.
- ASCP certification as a phlebotomist desired but not required. Must be able to commute between facilities in a timely manner and provide proof of High School Diploma upon hire.
- Ability to read, write and learn a computer system. Knowledge and skill in obtaining laboratory specimens from all age groups. Strong verbal communication and listening skills. Commitment to team operation with excellent customer service skills.
