The General Superintendent provides senior field leadership by planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all field operations activities. This role is responsible for overall field execution, workforce performance, and operational alignment with company objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.

This role is responsible for overall field execution, workforce performance, and operational alignment with company objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.
The General Superintendent oversees multiple projects simultaneously and serves as the primary link between executive leadership, operations management, project management, and field supervision.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead and execute strategic field operations plans to enhance productivity, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Oversee daily field operations across multiple projects, filling operational gaps as needed
- Review and approve jobsite execution plans related to labor efficiency, material utilization, scheduling, and cost control
- Ensure foremen and field leadership clearly understand responsibilities, expectations, and performance standards
- Perform regular jobsite walkthroughs and provide leadership with consistent field status updates
- Resolve conflicts with general contractors and clients as required, escalating outcomes and risks to executive leadership
- Partner with operations leadership to select, develop, and retain qualified field personnel
- Identify field training needs, initiate development plans, and recommend effective personnel actions
- Support field supervision in coordinating manpower levels with general contractors

- Position requires frequent jobsite presence across multiple active projects

- May work in confined or restricted spaces including utility rooms, crawl spaces, and unfinished structures
- Required use of personal protective equipment at all times as dictated by site conditions
- Ability to work extended hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends as required

Requirements Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex field operations within a construction environment
- Proven track record of strong operational performance and team leadership
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, labor performance, and operational metrics
- Strong ethical leadership and decision-making skills
- Ability to analyze operational data and apply practical solutions

- Willingness to work at heights using ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and other approved access methods
