Position Summary
Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate competitive pricing, proper signage, and inventory levels. Budgets and forecasts sales, assesses economic trends and community needs.
Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to Associates on effective Customer Member service approaches and techniques. Ensures customer complaints and issues are resolved within company guidelines.
Oversees community outreach programs and encourages Associates to serve as community members.
Ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures and regulations. Analyzes reports, implements asset protection and safety controls, oversees operational quality assurance, and develops action plans to improve performance.
Provides supervision and development opportunities by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing performance, and fostering a culture of belonging.
Ensures quality eyewear provision by consulting with, educating customers, selecting products based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment.
Upholds the open door policy, coordinates and oversees job‑related activities, develops relationships with stakeholders, supports plans and initiatives, builds accountability, measures progress, and addresses improvement opportunities.
Works collaboratively, builds strong relationships, communicates with impact, and motivates teams while maintaining high standards of integrity and compliance.
Delivers results, considers customer preferences, applies business models, and bases decisions on data and analysis.
Minimum Qualifications- Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.
