Maintenance Level II (Second Shift)

Summary
Description:
Provide assistance to production crews in mechanical and machine operations, building and facilities and associated equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Under limited supervision and with minimal technical guidance, keep plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair
- Respond in a timely manner to work orders and management requests
- Examine a variety of machines to diagnose and repair equipment
- Overhaul machines and equipment, including scrapping of ways and bearing sand fitting parts
- Dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
- May provide work training to less experienced staff
- Perform work as maintenance level I, when needed
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies regarding safety
- Work around a wide variety of equipment, chemicals and machinery; must be aware of safety hazards at all times
- PLC experience is a plus
- Must maintain a Good Attendance Record
- Work Over time as needed
- Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned
Required:
High school degree or GED is required; vocational tech training in mechanical related field is preferred. Must have 2 years of tech training (or equivalent experience) and at least 2-5 years of related mechanical experience in hydraulics, electronics repair, and related mechanical applications. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout plans and machine instructions. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.
Must be able to bend, reach, lift and move up to 100 lbs. without assistance. Must be able to climb up on ladders, equipment and roofs as necessary.
