Maintenance Mechanic - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift

Job Overview

Maintenance Mechanic – responsible for general maintenance, hydraulic systems, electrical & electronic systems, and basic welding to keep the plant operating safely and efficiently. The role requires working independently as well as within a team.

• Perform daily preventive maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Maintain production lines to minimize downtime.
• Set up, inspect, and test machinery for proper operation.
• Diagnose and resolve malfunctions, listening for unusual sounds.
• Dismantle malfunctioning machinery, replace or repair parts, and restore functionality.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain key components such as bearings, gears, and shafts.
• Assist production and quality teams with troubleshooting or repairs.
• Support facility care and maintenance of the plant structure.
• Follow all safety protocols, including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

• High school diploma or GED plus 1+ year related experience or 4 years direct experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing.
• Vocational, technical, or associate degree in maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of personnel, including contractors.
• Proficiency operating powered industrial trucks (forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, etc.).
• Strong oral and written communication skills; able to read and execute work orders and write daily reports.

• Hourly maintenance competitive starting pay: $24.20–$34.45 per hour.
• Shift differential: $0.50 per hour for 2nd shift.
