Position: REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

This opportunity is PRN and offers a flexible schedule. There is opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested!

Texoma Medical Center, a 414‑bed acute care facility, has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. We have numerous facilities throughout the Texoma region, meeting a spectrum of physical, mental and spiritual needs.

We provide major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery, and advanced resources such as certified trauma care support our role as a regional specialty center.

The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient‑Centered Care form the foundation for all nursing care. Nursing demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations provide guidelines for competent, safe, and professional practice.

Responsible for all nursing duties in Imaging Services. Alerts the physician to any changes in the patient’s condition during the procedure. Responsible for all medications, i.e., narcotics administered in the department. Assists Radiologist and other medical staff as needed. The RN has multiple roles and functions including care‑giver, decision‑maker, client advocate, manager, rehabilitator, comforter, communicator, and teacher. Functions include assessment of the nursing needs of the patient, initiation of the plan of care, implementation of the plan of care, and evaluation of the process by use of the nursing process.

The RN promotes the dignity and quality of the nursing care given to the patient.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Requirements:

  • Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
  • One year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care setting.
  • AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
  • Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
  • Must be able to identify and competently address the needs of populations served.
