Overview

This is a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position at Texoma Medical Center (TMC), a 414-bed acute care facility serving North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. The main campus is in Denison, TX, about one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, with additional facilities throughout the Texoma region. TMC offers major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery, and advanced resources such as certified trauma care to support its role as a regional specialty center.

The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Nursing provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concept of Patient Centered Care will form the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by professional nursing associations guide competent, safe, and professional practice.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Requirements:

• Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
• One year full-time experience in an acute care setting.
• RQI BLS and ACLS required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines; all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. See additional department proficiency requirements above.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
• Must be able to identify and competently address the needs of the populations served.
