About the Facility
Texoma Medical Center, a 414‑bed acute care facility, has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Its main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. The hospital offers major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery, and advanced resources such as certified trauma care support its role as a regional specialty center.
ResponsibilitiesThe basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The RN will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team and will act as a caregiver, decision‑maker, client advocate, manager, rehabilitator, comforter, communicator, and teacher for patients in the Wound Care Center. Responsibilities include assessment of the nursing needs of the patient, initiation of the plan of care, implementation of the plan, and evaluation of the process using the nursing process.
The RN promotes the dignity and quality of nursing care and demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. Patient‑centered care is the foundation for all nursing care.

Qualifications- Per RN licensure requirement.
- Two years RN experience required; previous experience in Med/Surg, home health or wound care preferred.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas or compact.
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course completed during new hire orientation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
- Good time‑management and critical‑thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and web‑based database programs and the intranet.
