Clinical Nurse Educator; Rn - Oncology​/Palliative Care

Responsibilities

The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

• Education - Per RN licensure requirement. MSN preferred. BSN within 3 years of hire
• Two years experience working in acute care nursing.
• Current Texas nursing license or compact. BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. ACLS is required. National Certification preferred.
• Must be clinically competent in area of population served. Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel. Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate team leadership. Must have the ability to problem solve and think critically. Must possess basic computer application skills
