Texoma Care is proud to be affiliated with Texoma Medical Center (TMC), the Texoma region’s leader in hospital services. TMC is a 414‑bed acute care facility located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. More than 3,500 employees, 400 multi‑specialty physicians, and over 100 volunteers have helped to support the hospital in delivering quality, patient‑focused care to the Texoma region for over 50 years.
ResponsibilitiesThe RN position with the Texoma Heart Group is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties, which include:
- Assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height), performing venipuncture, and other procedures directed by the physician.
- Recording documentation in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with the IPM guideline.
- Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and assisting in covering the front desk as required.
- Executing prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administering prescribed medications, and monitoring and documenting treatment progress and patient response.
- Delegating as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act and consulting with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent or resolve problems or concerns.
- Educating patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
IPM, a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. It develops and manages multi‑specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics aligned with UHS acute care facilities. IPM also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS and operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Education/CertificationRN:
Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. A minimum of two (2) years of college or an associate’s degree is required; a BSN is preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Current state‑registered nurse license.
- Minimum of one to three (1‑3) years working as a registered nurse required.
- Three to five (3‑5) years of related experience preferred.
General office procedures.
Skills- Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
