Position: REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

Responsibilities

This PRN position offers a flexible schedule with opportunities for overtime and shift coverage. The RN will provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies and the patient‑centered care philosophy. The RN is responsible for all nursing duties in Imaging Services, including medication administration, alerting the physician of any changes in a patient’s condition during procedures, and assisting the radiologist and other medical staff.

The RN performs multiple functions such as caregiver, decision‑maker, patient advocate, manager, rehabilitator, comforter, communicator, and teacher, and executes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Qualifications
  • Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
  • One year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care setting.
  • AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.
  • Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
  • Must be able to identify and competently address the needs of the populations served.
