Responsibilities
Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. The facility offers major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery, and advanced resources such as certified trauma care that support its role as a regional specialty center.
The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Nursing will also provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, with the Patient Centered Care concept serving as the foundation for all nursing care. Service Excellence standards and the Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations guide the competent, safe, and professional practice.

Job Requirements
- Per RN licensure requirement, BSN preferred
- Two years experience in acute care specialty nursing. One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred. Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, or compact. BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
- Must maintain all proficiencies required by area of supervision.
- Clinical certification in area of supervision preferred (e.g. CCRN, PCCN, etc.)
