Responsibilities

Texoma Medical Center, a 414‑bed acute care facility, has been providing quality health care to residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas‑Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas‑Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities arranged throughout the Texoma region. The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.

Nursing also provides professional leadership and support to the health‑care team, with Patient Centered Care as the foundation for all nursing care. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations guide competent, safe, and professional practice.

• Education per RN licensure requirements. BSN preferred.
• Rehabilitation work experience preferred.
• Current RN State License or compact. BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course required during orientation. ACLS and Certified Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN) preferred.
• Ability to identify and address needs of populations served, with strong communication and time‑management skills. Maintain patient rehabilitation transfer limitations and correctly apply orthotics and CPM machines as instructed by therapy.
