- Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, or compact required.
- MSN preferred. BSN within 3 years of hire.
- Two years experience in acute care specialty nursing.
- One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
- Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision.
- Current RQI BLS, ACLS required.
- BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
- Must maintain all additional certifications required by area of supervision.
- National certification in area of supervision preferred (i.e. CCRN, TCRN, etc.).
- Must be clinically competent in area of population served.
- Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate team leadership.
- Must have the ability to problem solve and think critically.
- Must possess basic computer application skills.
